The cost of the donated equipment so far is close to 120.00 euros and is expected to reach 200.000 euros. The equipment is being delivered directly to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Vostaneio hospital has indicated the necessary health care material and equipment that has been donated and seek to improve the quality of services provided by the hospital. They include Covid-19 test-kits, defibrillators, an incubator, ventilators, a tissue processing system, chairs\/ beds and gloves.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Efi Latsoudi a social scientist from Refugee Support Aegean said:<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<div   class=\"gem-quote gem-quote-style-default \" ><blockquote  ><em>\u201cAt this moment, every human life counts. The protection of the health of Lesvos residents and the thousands of refugees living in severely overcrowding in Moria is crucial. Donations to the public health system that is battling with the Covid-19 pandemic are an act of solidarity that can save lives\u201d.<\/em><\/blockquote><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>Karl Kopp, PRO ASYL\u2019s Director of European Affairs stated:<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<div   class=\"gem-quote gem-quote-style-default \" ><blockquote  ><em>&#8221; We would like to <\/em><em>express our deep gratitude to the hospital and its staff. For years, they have been working under the most difficult conditions and doing an excellent job for the islanders and refugees. The medical equipment is a contribution to save human lives and show solidarity.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We would also like to thank the Guido Fluri Foundation and the Swiss Protestant Church (EKS) because with their donations PRO ASYL and Refugee Support Aegean are able to facilitate this effort to support Lesvos Hospital swiftly.
